New Press Line Available - SUPRA 1600
Fairfield, NJ, August 31, 2000 - Chesnut Engineering announces
the availability of a new press - the SUPRA 1600 Narrow Web
Press. The Supra 1600 Press is an advanced version of the
highly successful Model 150 narrow web gravure machine. After
almost 100 units produced, Chesnut Engineering has now re-designed
the system to make this press the most advanced machine for
producing short runs of high-value prime pressure sensitive
labels, shrink labels, unsupported films, paper and foils,
down to .0005” (12 micron). The Supra system features simple
direct print technology, along with a lightweight sleeve-based
system.
The SUPRA 1600 is available in 16” (400 mm) web width, and
can utilize interchangeable Flexo units, and has Screen Print
capability. Also incorporated are the latest computer control
job memory system, automatic-setting features, making it the
most efficient and user-friendly press available. The press's
rotogravure format offers a wide range of benefits including
the widest selection of inks available (including water based,
metallic and fluorescent), excellent vignettes, screens as
fine as 300dpi and heavy lay-downs. Because the engraved
cylinders can be re-used run after run, rotogravure has proven
to be the lowest cost print system available.
